Diane, Allison, and Amy Lee Memorial Legacy

Allison Lee

Allison Kay Lee, age 13, of Brentwood, Tennessee, died tragically in an airplane crash in York County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 25, 2005.  Her mother, Diane B. Lee, and her sister, Amy Elizabeth Lee, also died in the crash.

Allison was born on February 29, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was an 8th grader at Meigs Magnet School where she was an excellent student. Allison enjoyed singing and was a member of the Nashville Children's Touring Choir at Belmont University. She had just returned from a tour to Disney World with the choir. Allison was very active in Forest Hills United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and Stick Ministry (a combination of liturgical dance, drama, and vocal music). She also participated in Bible Babes, Youth on Wednesdays, was a cross bearer, and helped with vacation bible school. Allison took piano lessons and played the clarinet in the school band. She had hoped to be a 4th grade teacher or a middle school music teacher when she grew up.

Allison is survived by her devoted father, Andrew Lee, of Brentwood; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Iola Brown of Madison, Wisconsin; her paternal grandfather, Harold Lee of Amherst, Ohio; numerous aunts and uncles; her cousins Annie and Jim (Sally) Chalex, Jennifer and Jessica Brown, Stacey and Michael Bjorgaard, Kyle and Dana Gisser, Spencer Wilkerson, and Aaron and Cameron Lee; and many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Laura Lee. Allison will be especially missed by her friends and by her dog, Whitney.

A celebration of Allison's life is planned for Sunday, July 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1250 Old Hickory Blvd., Brentwood, TN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the following funds benefiting worthy students.
