Diane, Allison, and Amy Lee Memorial Legacy

Amy Lee

Amy Elizabeth Lee, age 11, of Brentwood, Tennessee, died tragically in an airplane crash in York County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 25, 2005.  Her mother, Diane B. Lee, and her sister, Allison Kay Lee, also died in the crash.


Amy was born on February 23, 1994, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a 6th grader at J.T. Moore Middle School. She excelled as a student and particularly enjoyed studying Shakespeare's Hamlet and Spanish. At Forest Hills United Methodist Church she performed as one of their faithful puppeteers. Amy was an acolyte, performed in Ring and Rejoice, and assisted with vacation bible school. She was also involved in mission projects including Heifer International and the Second Harvest food bank. Amy played piano and participated in youth soccer and basketball programs.


Amy is survived by her devoted father, Andrew Lee, of Brentwood; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Iola Brown of Madison, Wisconsin; her paternal grandfather, Harold Lee of Amherst, Ohio; numerous aunts and uncles; her cousins, Annie and Jim (Sally) Chalex, Jennifer and Jessica Brown, Stacey and Michael Bjorgaard, Kyle and Dana Gisser, Spencer Wilkerson, and Aaron and Cameron Lee, and many other relatives.  She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Laura Lee.  Amy will be especially missed by her friends and her dog, Whitney.


A celebration of Amy's life is planned for Sunday, July 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1250 Old Hickory Blvd., Brentwood, TN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the following funds benefiting worthy students.
